We are a registered entity with a diverse membership of academics and professionals in the fields of political science, political philosophy, political and economic governance, public administration, international relations, public law, public policy analysis, human rights and related disciplines relevant to the study, analysis and understanding of politics.
Is to contribute to political and socio-economic development of Malawi through promoting the study and analysis of politics through research, advocacy and policy dialogue. According to Article 4(1) of PSA Constitution, the Association is nonpartisan and does not take positions nor commit its members to particular political positions not immediately concerned with its purpose. Notwithstanding this, PSA has the “power of adopting resolutions or taking such other actions as it deems appropriate in support of academic freedom, and other freedoms by and within the Association and the political profession when in its judgement such freedoms have been clearly violated or threatened” .
